Grant Program - Natural Landscape Photography Awards

NLPA Grant Program

Thank you for your interest in the Natural Landscape Photography Awards Grant Program! Entries are now closed. In 2024 we created a grant program award, which was generously funded at $5,000. We wanted to create a way to fund a young up-and-coming photographer who may not have their own means to conduct a photography project aimed at conservation of the natural world. We are working with the winner on the next steps and hope to showcase their work soon! Stay tuned to our email list for more information on their project!

This program was generously sponsored by Gina and Dario Perizzolo ($3500) and Bret Little ($1500). The winning applicant was notified in September, 2024.

This grant program ties into the competition in a number of ways. For starters, the founders of the competition all have a passion for natural landscape conservation issues and look to see more effort being made to tell the stories of our natural world, with the hopes of eliciting more legislation to protect the places we all love to photograph.

We also aim to inspire younger photographers to engage in landscape and nature photography and want to provide those photographers with payment for their efforts to improve as photographers whilst telling the important stories of our planet.

The winner of the grant will be expected to produce a gallery of images with accompanying text relating to the project, similar to what might be needed for a magazine article. The time table for the project is negotiable. The winner grants us rights to use images and text in a variety of ways, including those within our Terms of Service. The article and images might be featured in a number of ways, including but not limited to:

The competition will aim to promote the project as an article in other publications and any monetary gains associated with this will be passed on to the photographer.
